A Letter to My Dog, Half Pint

This last year may have been the worst one of my life, but at least I've got the world's two greatest dogs by my side to help me stagger into 2018. Today's post features a letter to Half Pint. Benjamin will be getting a letter later this week--he'd never let me hear the end of it, otherwise. Also, this posts features a lot of short video clips of Half Pint being silly. Since I apparently can't do anything right these days, they are exclusively shot in vertical mode. Please accept my apologies (and cut me some friggin' slack).

Hello...I think...

So if you know me pretty well, then you know two things:

1.) I get really mad when the ice cream machine at McDonalds is "down."

2.) I had a really bad week a couple weeks ago.

Like, really bad.

Now don't get me wrong. No one died, I am still with my girlfriend. I still have my job. Nothing catastrophic--just bad. One of the highlights was my first major car accident. Poor kid who had been driving less than a month nailed me. Thankfully, we were both okay.

His car, however, kicked poor Blue's (that's my car) butt...in a near 360 spin down the street with the bumper completely ripped off and the tail light smashed. I am now driving a Pontiac Vibe provided for me by the good people at Enterprise Car Rental. I must have really pissed them off.

But things are looking up. School starts tommorow (and yes, I am excited because I actually like my job) and Joe and I have moved into our new apartment.

I must say one thing: I can't believe I'm doing this. "Blogging." Who came up with that term anyway? It sounds like the horrific culmination of an upset stomach and an attempt to run up the stairs in time, but failing. But I had a friend that did this and it always made me laugh or think or at least let me know what was going on in his life. I'm not sure if my life is all that interesting, but I do know that my overreaction to things (i.e. the McDonalds ice cream machine being "down") can be highly amusing, so hopefully that is something.

And I miss writing. I don't do it anymore and it's fun. Let's see how this goes. Goodnight all.
